Are the vehicles insured?
Yes. All our vehicles are insured in accordance with Mauritian legal requirements and include mandatory third-party liability insurance coverage.
Our rental rates also include additional comprehensive insurance coverage subject to the insurer’s terms, exclusions, and conditions.
In the event of an accident, damage, negligence, misuse, theft, or major scratches occurring during the rental period, the renter may remain liable for an insurance excess fee of up to MUR 80,000, as specified in the rental agreement.
Customers are strongly advised to inspect the vehicle during delivery and return procedures.

Can I modify or cancel my reservation?
Yes. Reservation modifications or cancellation requests must be communicated to our team within 72 hours from the initial reservation confirmation.
Any request made after this period may be subject to availability, administrative charges, cancellation fees, or non-refundable conditions depending on the booking and rental period.
Please note that no refund shall be issued once the vehicle has been delivered, collected, or taken by the renter, or after the expiration of the eligibility period for reservation modification or cancellation.
Sunkave Car Rental Mauritius reserves the right to apply applicable charges where necessary.
Where can I collect and return the vehicle?
We provide vehicle delivery and collection across Mauritius, including:

Free delivery and collection may apply in selected regions and for qualifying rental durations.
The vehicle must be returned at the agreed date, time, and location specified in the rental agreement.
What should I do in case of breakdown or accident?
In the event of a breakdown, accident, or emergency, the renter must contact Sunkave Car Rental Mauritius immediately via our 24/7 assistance service at +230 5259 5035.
The renter must not authorise repairs, move the vehicle unnecessarily, or leave the scene of an accident without prior approval unless required by law or for safety reasons.
A police report may be mandatory in case of accident, theft, or third-party damage.

Most of our rental packages include unlimited mileage unless otherwise stated in the quotation or rental agreement.

Can another person drive the vehicle?

The renter remains fully responsible for:

The renter authorises Sunkave Car Rental Mauritius to communicate renter details to competent authorities where legally required.
Administrative processing fees may apply where the company is required to handle or process such matters.

Yes. We provide 24/7 roadside assistance for mechanical issues covered under normal vehicle operation conditions.

Should I inspect the vehicle before departure?
